Stuffed Pork Chops Recipe Question And Answer
i have a bunch of pork loin chops bone in and would like to grill them and have rice (the kind with tomatoes & stuff in it), beans & cheese, salad, avacado slices & tortillas.might someone typically use pork loin chops bone in to grill for a plate like this? what seasonings should i use? thanks
I know how to grill hamburgers and hot dogs but the other stuff is questionable.. What's a good marinate for chicken and how long do you cook the chicken. Sometimes I use chicken patties and sometimes I buy with the bone in. How long does it take to grill a steak? or a thick pork chop?
Does anyone have a good pasta salad?? I usually boil pasta, add a few things and then dump a bottle of dressing on it. What kind of dressing do you really like??
My cooking skills consist of making hamburger helper. lol I might not be able to fry a pork chop, or bake a chicken, but I can make every type of hamburger helper available in the grocery store. This is what I live off of. That and sandwiches and Ramen noodles. I have tried watching the food network but some of that stuff is too complicated for me. I just want to learn the basic stuff. I grew up never really having to cook because my Grandmother and mom always do but I have now moved away from home, am in another city, and on my own as far as cooking goes. I do try recipes out of cookbooks but none of what I make seems to taste quite right to me. Do any of you have any simple recipes? I am a very simple person when it comes to eating and not picky at all. My favorite dishes are with chicken and I am a pasta fanatic. Any easy recipes or tips on easy dishes are greatly appreciated. :-)
Okay everyone thank you so much for all the wonderful advice and recipes! You've all been a tremendous help and I love all the suggestions. Much appreciation to all of you that took out time to put in your fav recipes and cookbooks. I cannot possibly choose a best answer on this one because they are all great! So I am putting it to a vote and letting you all decide. Once again, thanks for all the help!!!! I will attempt to try all these recipes because none seem all that difficult. :-)
I'm in a slump of cooking the same foods within a 2 week time period. I prefer making what I can homemade. Here are the usuals: Fried, grilled or baked (in cream of mush soup) pork chops, HOMEMADE spaghetti (the sauce) with store-bought but fresh refrigerated noodles (so much better and only take 2 min to boil!) Hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes, chicken stir-fry, beef barley soup, homemade chicken noodle, homemade chicken fettucine alfredo, I also have to cook alot of traditional mexican foods since my b/f is hispanic... I don't need any taco recipes! lol. I love Greek food-gyros-stuffed grape leaves, hummus and pita & tabouli. I love seafood(scallops, shrimp, cod, halibut, salmon, tilapia) but I don't cook too much fish
I'm hoping I can get some yummy recipes-not so much casseroles please!! More like homemade things(ie: chicken fried steak, beef tri tips...etc)
I'm on a budget so nothing too fancy or with 100 diff ingredients.
There are a couple of things I make and I'm getting tired of the same old stuff. Any good ideas? I normally make potatoes and pork chops or I like to make chicken then shred it with some BBQ sauce. I'm having cooker's block right now! Any and all recipe's will be appreciated!
mix sage & onion stuffing with peeled, cored & chopped cooking apple, spread half onto some pastry, lay a filet of pork on top, cover with rest of stuffing mix, bring pastry over to cover & lay seam side down on a baking sheet. Any ideas what oven temp & how long i should cook it for, thanks in advance
Roast pork with stuffing!
Take a good size peice of pork loin about 12 inches by 5 or 6 inches high, a nice piece.
Prepare stuffing as you would for a turkey and place it into the porc, this is how I do it:
1. Melt margarine in a pan
2. Fry some chopped onions until they are brown
3. Add this to your bread and add about 1 to 2 teaspoons of poulrty seasoning. Miz very well
4. Cut the piece of porc to make a lid, roughly through the middle of the meat.
5. Place the stuffing and pack it into the middle of the pork.
6. Fold the lid back and sew the meat together with cooking twine.
7. Cook in a roasting pan at 325 until juices are clear.
8 Remove roaster lid and then brown the top.
Cut and enjoy..!
I have looked online and all I can find is weird stuff. I'm looking for normal food, like spaghetti, meatloaf, pork chops, cube steak. Stuff like that. Also I'm new to the cooking thing. So the simpler the better. Thanks for your help!

I'm looking for recipes that maybe use any combination of ingredients described. common veggies like onions, celery, potatoes, green pepper or some combination. spaghetti noodles and other pasta shapes, spaghetti sauce. Pork chops or hamburger meat or tuna. cream of mushroom soup.
I usually have this stuff on hand does anyone have recipes that include any of these ingredients cuz I'm trying to eat up what I hae in the house.
Savory Sage Stuffing
This recipe, which turns ordinary stuffing into a designer dish.
1 lb. sage pork sausage, browned and crumbled
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 to 2 1/2 cups onions, chopped
2 to 2 1/2 cups celery, chopped
1 Tbsp. fresh garlic, minced
1/4 stick butter
4 to 5 cups chicken stock or broth
4 cups cornbread, prebaked and crumbled
4 cups seasoned bread cubes (or packaged stuffing
mix)
3 Tbsp. fresh sage leaves, chopped
2 Tbsp. fresh oregano, chopped
3 Tbsp. fresh Italian parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 cup black olives, pitted (halved or quartered)
2 to 3 Tbsp. fresh squeeze lemon juice
Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
Gather and measure all ingredients. Prepare pans.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Over medium heat, saute onions and celery in olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and remove from heat. Allow vegetables to rest in pan for 3 to 5 minutes.
Bring chicken stock to a boil and skim if necessary. Add butter and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Combine the crumbled cornbread with the seasoned bread cubes. Add sausage, sage, oregano, parsley and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle in the lemon juice. Gently stir in the olives. Pour in enough of the chicken stock to thoroughly moisten the mixture. Taste and adjust seasonings by adding more salt, pepper and/or lemon juice.
Lightly stuff into the cavity of a turkey. Stuffing also can be spread into Pam-prepared baking pans, covered with Pam-sprayed foil and baked at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until warmed through.
Every Sunday my husband and I have our friends over and each weekend one friend makes dinner for the others. My turn is coming up and I am stumped on what to cook. A few dishes that have already been made are: flounder with lemon zest, stuffed pork chops, tacos, chili, and stuffed green peppers.
What's your favorite dish? I don't necessarily need recipes, just ideas! Thanks!
I enjoy cooking alot: I am Man hear me roar: MEOW...HAHA
Seriously:
LAST USED: Boneless thick Pork chops: Was excellent.Below is what I did:
I made some bread crumb, shrimp stuffed(pre-boiled, sauted in olive oil, salt, pepper, green onions, and red bell peppers) stuffed pork chops....Pan seared....then baked at 350.
I also made the following: White wine Green beans: fresh green beans simmered. Fresh ground Mint leaves and Butter on bread(toasted like garlic breads). removing the Tart from the beans( I believe Wine is Tart ) last but not least. I created a Sour coffee tart(no Sugar) covered in Sweet Chocolate...again to counter the flavors.
Ok: Pork is a Dull meat no flavor unless you make it so: BUT::: Chicken Breasts contain alot of salty Fat(i do not trim, Fat is Flavor)
What should I change in this recipe, if any to make it work with chicken????
Thanks any comments?
Heather S. : what other seafood would you suggest?? Crab may work. But they contain a lot of salt due to their shallow water habait!....humm....good...u got me thinking...Heather: what about a nice halibut sliced very very thin(paper thin) and tossed into a hot olive oil bath...almost like a potato chip per say:but not crisp: talking drop flipped..out....roll up into a tube and slice fine. adding to the drained olive oil, peppers, etc etc...what ya think heather??
with recipes that people cook on a regular basis....
not recipes for lamb and veal and stuff like that....normal everyday stuff like pork chops, chicken, fish, fajitas, etc.
I like to stuff pork chops with stuffing
but I have not done this in years and I no longer have a dessent recipe for stuffing
since I am only stuffing a couple of chops I only need a recipe that is small or I can easily cut down.
I do not want canned or boxed
I would love a homemade from "scratch" recipe
thanks
Stuffed Porkchops
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg, beaten
2 cups whole kernel corn
4 pork chops butterfly cut
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In bowl, combine bread crumbs, butter, egg, and corn. Mix until it is a stiff stuffing. Cut parallel into each chop to create a pocket. Stuff each pork chop with stuffing mix. Place chops in a cooking dish and then pour mushroom soup over top. Bake for about 45 minutes or until chops are cooked all the way through.
From which side and to what length do I slit them?
Should I marinate them before I start cooking them tonight?
If so, what marinade should I use?
Any pointers or tips anyone can give me for this recipe?
Will it be good with pasta and creamed spinach on the side?
How about marinating in Coca Cola?
VERY amateur cook here. Usually pan fry chops in olive oil, but am out of olive oil. Any reason i can't cook em in vermouth instead? Lots of stuff online for cooking veggies in wine, but not one recipe for doing the same with pork. Red wine reductions after cooking the chops in oil, yes, but not cooking directly in wine.
If not vermouth, I have..hmm..champagne? Mango arbor mist? Coconut rum? Um...cherry Kool-aid? Water!? I don't even have stock in the house. I have butter, but I'm really trying to avoid that if I can.
I am looking for an easy supper time recipe beside chili, lasagna, spaghetti, alfredo, meatloaf, beef burgers, chicken fried rice, pot pies, salisbury steak, chicken and biscuits, Jambalaya, pork with cream of soup rice, chicken with cream of soup rice, stuffed pork chops, turkey/chicken loaf, wraps, tacos, sloppy joes, and pizza.
I want to break out of the mold of what I usually make. I have a picky eater who loves meat though.
Can someone help me?
Unfortinatily.
Also cheesy hashbrowns, hotdish with noodles and green olives, tator tot hotdish, and chicken nuggets and strips.
Maybe something out of the ordinary?
I've got some really nice chops, but I have no idea what to do with them? Any ideas for simple sauces amd stuff would be really helpful (and extra good if they're baby friendly!) thanks!
It was cidar vinegar and other ingredients. I could use some help with this, was supposed to be TANGY.
Also, what you typically would serve with it. No guesses please, respond only if you have had these chops.
Get 2" thick center cut chops
slice from outer edge of meat to bone, making like a pocket
fry some sausage, make the pieces like hamburger for tacos
bake a small pone of cornbread, crumble after it cools
mix cornbread and sausage, use a little beef broth to moisten
stuff the mixture into the chop opening
using a fish grilling basket, grill the chops for about 45 to 50 minutes depending on how hot your grill is, turning every 8 to 10 minutes
you don't have to worry if the stuffing is done, you already cooked it.
I'm making stuffed pork tenderloin and I'm looking for a recipe for the filling. I'm hoping to incorporate chopped spinach and mushrooms. Help is appreciated.
I have some pork loin chops that I'm thawing for dinner but I'd like to try something different tonight. My usual preparations consist of sauted apples, breaded, with stuffing (inverted) and gravy. What else can you do with chops?
It doesn't seem like recipe books spend as much time on pork recipes as they do chicken for some reason...
my mom used to make this pork chop recipe...and i am not sure how it goes...i believe it was just basic....dry rubbed pork chops in a few cans/bottles of gravy and then she baked them in the oven...has anyone ever done this...it was sooo good...i miss her cooking...and my boyfriend is a very picky eater...so if you have anyother recipes that don't include onions mushrooms veggies and stuff like that i would appreciate it? thanks
I have 4 boneless pork chops which are thick enough to be stuffed, and I also have time to use the crock pot, so I could use any type of recipe. My original plans won't work now, because I forgot to buy an ingredient for it. Please let me know what your favorite recipe is, and how it is cooked!
Thanks! :)
I'm pretty new to cooking because for some reason I have always been with guys who loved to cook and before that my mother cooked for me. I have been trying to cook more for my bf because even though he likes to cook, I know he enjoys having a meal made for him too once in awhile. I made some really good alfredo sauce the other night and just put some salad shrimp in it and served it with a salad and he loved it. I want to start making more "advanced" things so any good recipes you have would be great. I just don't want anything too difficult because I'm not that great yet. The only thing I am really really good at is homemade marinara sauce. I need to learn more about using meat to cook! Help please and please don't just post links to websites because I can look up websites myself!
I looked at the recipe sites without much success. Was hoping someone had a recipe. It can also be gargonzola.
or mozarella
NO APPLES OR FRUITS PLEASE
I want to make this recipe for stuffed pork chops but I want to BAKE the pork chops instead of frying them. How do I do this? (for how long, at what temp., with or without stuffing inside?)
Recipe:
3 tsp margarine, divided
1 small yellow onion, finelly chopped
1 cup cooked white rice
3/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth, divided
1/4 cup shredded mozarella cheese
1/4 cup ricotta cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried thyme
4 pork chops
1. In a medium nonstick skiillet, melt 2 tsp margarine over medium heat. Add onion; saute until softened, about 5 minutes.
2. Remove skillet form heat. Stir in rice, 1/4 cup broth, cheeses, and thyme. Mix well.
3. Using a sharp knife, cut a deep horizontal pocket in each chop. Spoon rice mixture into pockets, dividing evenly. Secure openings with toothpicks.
4. Place the same skillet ove rmedium-high heat. Add remaining margarine and melt. Add chops; cook until browned, turning occasionally.
and if so got a good recipe with potatoes as a side that isn't mashed?
